MyDro 50 Remote Terminal Unit
The MyDro 50 is a compact, battery-powered remote terminal unit that eliminates monitoring blind spots across your water system. With a battery life of up to five years, three analog inputs, three digital inputs, and a latching relay output, the MyDro 50 delivers critical data and control capabilities from sites that have no AC power, no wired network infrastructure, and no budget for a full-scale RTU installation.

Works Where the Power Grid Doesn’t
The MyDro 50 is powered by a four D-cell lithium thionyl chloride battery pack rated at 76 amp-hours. Depending on transmission frequency and sensor configuration, the battery can last up to five years before replacement.
The RTU uses LTE CAT M1 / NB-IoT with auto-selectable power saving features via eDRX to maximize battery life while maintaining reliable cellular connectivity.

Applications
Four ways utilities put the MyDro 50 to work at sites that have no AC power.
Water Flow Monitoring
Works with the flow meters you already have, accepting pulse or analog (4-20 mA or 0-5V) inputs. Pulse counts and analog flow rates are converted to total volume and reported in selectable time blocks (hourly, daily, and more), with daily totals and usage trends calculated for you. High, low, and daily-limit flow alarms flag problems early, and reports are ready to download, including flow against rainfall.
Tank and Well
The MyDro 50 is an ideal component for Mission’s Tank and Well application. It can monitor any type of tank level and deliver essential data to the Tank and Well service for automated pump cycle control. The MyDro 50 is especially well-suited for single-pump wells, providing one runtime input and one status input to reduce the overall cost of well field control systems.
Reservoir and Surface Level Monitoring
Monitor levels of reservoirs, lakes, rivers, and other surface waters with compatibility for a variety of sensors including submersible and non-contact types. Historical data and real-time alarms provide complete visibility into water supply conditions.
PRV Vault Monitoring
Pressure reducing valves (PRVs) protect water infrastructure by preventing pipe damage and maintaining consistent system pressure. The MyDro 50 can power and monitor two pressure sensors, one upstream and one downstream of the PRV, for continuous visibility into inlet and outlet pressure. Through 123SCADA, utilities can spot abnormal pressure and potential valve issues before they lead to failures.
Three Form Factors
Wall Mount
The Wall Mount form factor features an industrial polycarbonate UV-rated enclosure with IP68 ingress protection. It mounts directly to a wall, pole, or structure near the monitoring point. Weight with battery: 2 lbs, 15 oz. The M52 is ideal for pump houses, valve vaults, and above-ground equipment enclosures where environmental sealing is critical.
Node
The Node form factor uses an industrial polycarbonate UV-rated enclosure with IP67 ingress protection and a compact cylindrical design optimized for pole or mast mounting. Weight with battery: 2 lbs. The M54 is well-suited for tank sites, reservoir monitoring, and remote locations where a small visual footprint is preferred.
Rainfall Monitoring
The Rainfall Monitoring model is a purpose-built package that includes the MyDro 54R RTU, a rain tipping bucket with cable, mounting plate with screws, U-clamp and mounting bracket, and base stand. The M54R requires no grid power or network wire, providing long-term rain totals and live monitoring of rain intensity. It connects directly to the 123SCADA portal for storm event analysis and I&I correlation. Enclosure rated IP67; dimensions 7.1 in height x 4.6 in diameter; weight 2 lbs.
I/O Capabilities
- 3 analog inputs (passive or active): 4-20 mA or 0-5V; 13V or 18V provided to attached sensors at up to 60 mA
- 3 digital inputs: dry contact, reporting state and total counts
- 1 latching relay output: 2A at 30VDC for remote control applications
- Tank and Well: 1 runtime and 1 status available for automated pump cycle control
- Flow measurement: Totalized from pulse inputs or analog integrated flow calculation
