Tank and Well MonitoringAutomated Water Level Control with Remote SCADA
When the level drops, the system commands the well pumps to start. When it fills, they stop. 24/7, no operator intervention.

Automated Tank and Well Management
Maintaining tank levels while managing well pumps is a daily challenge. Mission’s Tank and Well system automates it. A pressure transducer at the tank feeds a MyDro RTU. When the level drops, the system commands the well pumps to start. When it fills, they stop. 24/7, no operator intervention. No private radio networks, no on-site computers, no PLCs. Operational within hours of install.

How Remote Tank Level Monitoring Works
MyDro RTU reads level from a submersible pressure transducer and transmits via cellular to 123SCADA. Operators see real-time levels, daily fill cycles, and long-term trends on any device. Configurable alarms for high (overflow risk), low (service risk), and rate-of-change (leak indicator). Line-powered or solar/battery, depending on site.

Automated Pump Control for Wells and Booster Stations
The Tank and Well software supports automated control of up to five remote pumps or valves based on tank level readings. When the tank level falls below the pump-on threshold, the system sends a command to start the designated well pump. When the tank reaches the pump-off level, the command reverses. Smart features built into the control logic include:
Virtual Pump Alternation
Save on machinery wear and tear repairs by distributing runtime evenly across your pump fleet.
Maximum Runtime Protection
Save on violations and penalties for overdrawing aquifers or wells with configurable runtime limits.
Off-Peak Force Fill
Save on electricity costs by automatically filling tanks when utility rates are lowest.
Call-to-Run, Fail-to-Run Alarms
Save on unnecessary site visits and manpower with instant alerts the moment a pump fails to run.
Real-Time Alerts and Reporting
Real-time notifications for high/low levels, pump failures, pump starts/stops, comms issues, and abnormal conditions. Daily summary emails flag overnight items. Trending graphs across days, weeks, and months. Runtime and starts variance reports across all connected wells. Export to spreadsheet/CSV. Historical data retained from install date.

How RTUs Support Tank and Well Systems
A typical install puts a MyDro RTU and pressure transducer at the tank, plus a MyDro RTU at each well or booster. Cellular eliminates line-of-sight radio. Sites can be next to each other or 100+ miles apart. All cellular included in subscription. Mission technicians help with transducer selection and configuration.
- Installation Support Included: Mission technicians help with transducer selection, best practices, and configuration. Weekly training webinars at no cost.

What You Will Need
A typical install puts a MyDro RTU and pressure transducer at the tank, plus a MyDro RTU at each well or booster. All RTUs include cellular data charges in the annual subscription—there are no separate data overage fees or early termination penalties.

Frequently Asked Questions
How does tank level monitoring prevent overflow or shortages?
Tank level monitoring shows water levels in real time so operators know when a tank is too high or too low. That helps prevent overflow, avoid shortages, and keep water supply more stable by making pump control and operational decisions easier.
What triggers a well pump to turn on or off automatically?
A well pump is typically triggered by tank level thresholds, pressure conditions, or system logic configured in the monitoring setup. When the system sees a level or pressure change that meets the programmed rule, it can activate or stop the pump automatically.
Can tank and well systems be monitored without visiting the site?
Yes. Remote tank and well monitoring allows operators to see status, alarms, and water levels without being physically present. That reduces travel, saves time, and helps smaller teams manage more sites with less effort.
